We’re pleased to invite you to the discussion circle “Other stories, other futures. Colonial memories and decolonial challenges”. Curated by the CONCILIARE project, this activity is part of the two-day programme of “What Do We Do With This? Thinking About Colonial Issues”, which will take place in Braga, Portugal, on 21 November.
Based on the knowledge and experience of the guest participants, and with mediation by Rosa Cabecinhas, the discussion aims to examine ways of unlearning colonialism and contribute to the decolonization of knowledge and public space. Considering different contexts and areas of intervention, we aim to stimulate debate and concrete actions of historical reparation in everyday life.
The event is part of Braga’25 – National Capital of Culture, in partnership with CONCILIARE and in collaboration with the MigraMediaArts project and the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) of the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho.
