What do we do with all this?

And after all… what do we do with this?

For two days, the city of Braga, Portugal, was a scenario to reflect on the colonial past and the ways it still echoes in our public spaces and our lives.

Through debate, sensibility and art, the event “What do we do with this? Thinking about colonial issues” brought togheter diverse ideas and perspectives on how we can create meaningful change.

Curated by Hugo Cruz, this initiative is part of Braga’25 – National Capital of Culture, in partnership with CONCILIARE, the MigraMediaArts project and the Communication and Society Research Centre (CECS) of the Institute of Social Sciences, University of Minho.

We were delighted to host our special guests Mariana Pinto dos Santos, Victor Barros, Claudino Ferreira and Elísio Macamo at the CONCILIARE roundtable “Other stories, other futures. Colonial memories and decolonial challenges”.

Now we’re left with a powerful question: from here on, what are we going to do with all this?
