Next week, the city of Maputo, Mozambique, will host the third edition of the Audiovisual Heritage Meetings, this year dedicated to “Cinema and the independence of the PALOP countries”.
The event celebrates the International Audiovisual Heritage Day (10/27) and promotes discussions that connect audiovisual heritage, historical memory and education. The programme includes thematic panels, exhibitions, workshops, debates, guided tours, book launches and film screenings.
This initiative is organised and produced by the Association of Friends of the Cinema Museum in Mozambique (AAMCM), with support from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, in partnership with CECS-UMinho, as part of the CONCILIARE project, among other entities.
The sessions will take place in person, and some will be streamed online.
